The last nights of a residency of a trio with a master rhythm section comprising two of the more distinctive proponents of their instruments, bassist Brandon Lopez and drummer Gerald Cleaver, underneath master motivator Fred Moten. There’ll be a different opener every night: Monday it’s a duo of saxophoist Ingrid Laubrock and sound artist Cecelia Lopez, two musicians seemingly incapable of failing to be interesting; Tuesday it’s saxophonist Matt Nelson playing solo.
