Ethan Philbrick — his day job is as a cellist — takes his new book, Group Works: Art, Politics, and Collective Ambivalence, to the stage. The book pairs group pieces from the Downtown ‘60s and ‘70s with recent group pieces for discussion. And tonight, various current performers present their performative responses.
