Simeon ten Holt was a distinctive Dutch Minimalist who had nothing to fear from his American colleagues. Canto Ostinato is his chef d’œuvre, played here in its two-piano version — and one of them is one of ten Holt’s great interpreters, the Dutch contemporary classical pianist Kees Wieringa.
