The centerpiece of this concert is a piece by Tribeca New Music contest winner Charles Peck, whose stuff is kind of aggressive. In contrast, Nicky Sohn, who has a world premiere on the program, writes stuff that goes out of its way to be listenable (but not insipidly so). You’ll want to know that other pieces on the program include works by Caroline Shaw and Aleksandra Vrebalov (and, let’s not forget, Bergamot violinist Ledah Finck).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: It seems unlikely, but a (very) knowledgeable friend tells me that Chez Zou is actually a good cocktail bar.
