Sandbox Percussion, joined by keyboard ace Conor Hanick, plays (among other great-looking things) a Lockdown piece by Christopher Cerrone, whose deft touch with both tones and structure makes him another of those contemporary composers you wonder why the mainstream crowd is ignoring. (BTW, you have to click through three pages before you are told how much of a service charge will be added to the stated ticket price. And this is supposed to be a [tax exempt!] community services organization?)

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, fun South African food and wine at Kaia Wine Bar. Streaming at home, have a Paper Plane: 3/4 oz. each of Bourbon, Amaro Nonio, Aperol, and lemn juice into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake. Strain into a chilled Martini glas or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
