Pianist Thomas Feng and ambient mbirist Laraaji explore the unique piano music of Emahoy Tsegé Mariam Guèbrou, combining Ethiopian jazz, Ethiopian trad, and (I insist) Chopin, the dissemination of which was one of the more welcome musical events of the last few years. Isabel Crespo Pardo’s sinonó will perform their ethereal “poemsongs”.
