Messiaen turns the nativity story into a phantasmagoria. No matter how good the speakers you listen to your computer through are, they won't come close to doing justice to Saint Thomas's magnificent Miller-Scott Organ.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: I'm tempted to say Mushrooms. But absent that, let's try a White Negroni: pour 1-1/2 oz. Gin, 3/4 oz. Suze, and 1 oz. Lillet Blanc into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a rocks glass over ice (you can also drink it neat in a chilled Martini glass or coupe). Garnish with a lemon twist.
