Singer/playwright/actress/director Eleanor Reissa, that pearl of the contemporary Yiddish stage, is joined by the beyond-fab Klezmer+ trumpeter Frank London for a night of Yiddish songs of struggle and liberation. And they're backed by an intriguing new trio comprising guitarist Brian Seabrook, accordion (and much else) player Ilye Shneyveys, and Indian percussion master Deep Singh!

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: I'm afraid I'm going to have to recommend a Jewish Absinthe: Put 8-10 mint leaves into a cocktail shaker. Pour in 2 oz. overproof Bourbon (the drink was formulated to use Old Williamsburg 101-Proof) and 1/2 oz. Anisette. Add ice. Shake hard. Strain into a chilled glass of some kind.
