The truly excellent Nigerian-American choreographer Okwui Okpokwasili's works never fail to move and provoke. This is a video piece she created with her frequent collaborator, the filmmaker Peter Born.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: The Gin in Nigeria's favorite cocktail, the Chapman, is optional — but not when I'm making it: put 2 slices each of lime and orange into a Highball glass. Pour in 3 tablespoons of Grenadine or Crème de Cassis (it's important that this goes in before the other liquids). Add ice. Pour in 1 oz. Gin and 4 oz. each of lemon/lime and orange sodas, with 3-4 dashes of Angostura bitters. Do NOT stir.
